St. Elizabeth Lights of Love 2024 LogoThis year, our Lights of Love donations will be used for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The first priority will be the LifePulse High Frequency Jet Ventilator. When preterm infants are born, their little bodies and lungs have yet to develop. Sometimes they need special help with breathing. This includes specialized tiny breathing tubes and equipment that is able to help them breathe when they are unable to do so effectively themselves. The Jet Ventilator is able to ventilate the baby efficiently and gently with very, very small breaths, minimizing the possibility of damaging their already fragile lungs. This allows the baby to conserve valuable energy and to continue to grow.

We are more powerful when we empower each other

The Lights of Love trees are a long-time Christmas tradition at St. Elizabeth. It is an opportunity to honor family, friends, coworkers, and loved ones by hanging silver stars with the honored individuals' names on Christmas trees lining the corridor into the hospital. Each star represents a donation to the Lights of Love designated program of the year. Of course, there is always an opportunity to select other programs you are passionate about within the hospital.
