2023 Annual Funds

MERCY CORNING FOUNDATION
Employee Connection:
This fund will be used to provide support for the engagement of our mission, values, and goals, through events and campus activities with our employees.

General Capital/Equipment:
Funds can be used to purchase, upgrade, or maintain equipment and other items to support hospital operations, enhance patient care, aid in research, and increase staff productivity.

2023 Annual Campaign - Other Fund Options

CUMC-BERGAN MERCY
Emergency Relief: Funds provide necessary support for our nurses, physicians, caregivers, and staff through caregiver well-being, resiliency support, coaching, medical supplies, food, and other needs.

Patient Assistance: Funds benefit patients treated at CUMC-Bergan Mercy by providing assistance for prescription medications, transportation, and other health related needs for patients who qualify.

Professional Development: Funds will support staff education and training.

Simulation Center: Funds will support the creation of a Simulation Center, to serve residents, and medical & nursing students. This center will be aimed at building skills in technical tasks, cognitive tasks, and team-based integration of care among learners.

IMMANUEL
Emergency Relief: Funds provide necessary support for our nurses, physicians, caregivers, and staff through caregiver well-being, resiliency support, coaching, medical supplies, food, and other needs.

LAKESIDE
Emergency Department Remodel: Funds will be used to improve patient flow and modernize the emergency department registration and waiting areas. Funds may also be used to support other emergency department needs.

Patient Assistance: Funds benefit patients treated at Lakeside by providing assistance for prescription medications, transportation, and other health related needs for patients who qualify.

LASTING HOPE RECOVERY CENTER
General Capital/Equipment:
Funds can be used to purchase, upgrade, or maintain equipment and other items to support hospital operations, enhance patient care, aid in research, and increase staff productivity.

MERCY COUNCIL BLUFFS
Emergency Relief: Funds provide necessary support for our nurses, physicians, caregivers, and staff through caregiver well-being, resiliency support, coaching, medical supplies, food, and other needs.

Mental Health Therapy Garden: Funds support the creation of a colorful, serene outdoor space for our behavioral health patients to improve the quality of care and enhance the healing process by using the restorative power of nature. Funds will also support the garden's unique programming, including but not limited to yoga, meditation, gardening, pet therapy, group exercise, and more.

Patient Assistance: Funds benefit patients treated at Mercy Council Bluffs by providing assistance for prescription medications, transportation, and other health related needs for patients who qualify.

MIDLANDS
Cafeteria Remodel: Funds will be used to update and modernize the Midlands cafeteria into a comfortable space for dining and rest. Funds may also be used to support other food service department needs.

Emergency Relief: Funds provide necessary support for our nurses, physicians, caregivers, and staff through caregiver well-being, resiliency support, coaching, medical supplies, food, and other needs.

Healing Pavilion: Funds will support an outdoor space for patients and their families, staff, and our community to connect with nature and heal.

Patient Assistance: Funds benefit patients treated at Midlands facilities by providing assistance for prescription medications, transportation, and other health related needs for patients who qualify.

CHI HEALTH CLINICS
Patient Assistance: Funds benefit patients treated at CHI Health clinics by providing assistance for prescription medications, transportation, and other health related needs for patients who qualify.

CHI HEALTH FOUNDATION
Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE): CPE is professional education for ministry with people in crisis. CPE participants are clergy, lay ministers and seminarians who serve in CHI Health facilities as chaplain residents and interns. The purpose of this fund is to provide tuition assistance to participants who meet the criteria.

End of Life Comfort Care: Funds will provide comfort carts that have supportive reading materials, music, and light refreshments for families so they do not have to leave their loved one’s bedside.

Faith, Hope, & Love: The purpose of Faith, Hope & Love is to provide emergency financial assistance to your fellow workers during times of need. Funded exclusively by employee contributions, this fund is administered by CHI Health to current employees who meet the criteria.

Forensic Nurse Examiner Program: The program seeks to reduce the physical and psychological trauma of sexual assault, human trafficking and domestic violence through sensitive and timely medical examinations performed by specially trained nurse examiners.

CHI HEALTH FOUNDATION (cont.)
Infant Bereavement: Funds will supply grief support resources to patients and their families who experience the loss of a baby during pregnancy, at birth or shortly after birth. Funds are used to purchase memory boxes, keepsake items, semi-annual memorial and committal services, and burial assistance on a limited basis.

TANZANIA MINISTRY
Machame School of Nursing: Your gift will help with the cost of tuition, room and board. A full scholarship is $1,700.

Houses for Health: Your gift helps with the cost of building a small basic, dry safe house. The cost to build a house is $3,400.

Clinical Officer Program/PA: Your gift will help with the cost of tuition, room and board. A full scholarship is $1,700.
